The travel ban on G-Dragon (35, real name Kwon Ji-yong), who is under investigation for drug use, has been lifted.

According to legal sources on the 27th of October, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug crime investigation team decided not to extend the travel ban on G-Dragon, which expired on the 25th.

The police did not send a request to extend the travel ban to the Ministry of Justice recently. They also informed G-Dragon of this fact the day before.

It was reported that the police recently requested an extension of the travel ban on actor Lee Sun Kyun (48), who is also under investigation for drug use, to the Ministry of Justice.

As a result, there is a high possibility that the G-Dragon case will be concluded without being sent to the prosecution. As G-Dragon received negative results in the preliminary test, hair analysis, and recently the detailed examination of his fingernails and toenails.

The saga began last month, when media outlets began to report that a famous artist is accused of using drugs. G-dragon denied using drugs via a legal rep but was subsequently banned from travelling outside of Korea.

On the other hand, the investigation into Lee Sun Kyun, who has evidence such as text messages and recorded conversations exchanged with establishment manager A (29, female), is expected to continue.
