Produce 101 Season 2 Contestant Jung Joong Ji passing news shocked many Produce 101 fans when it was announced.

Jung Joong Ji died on September 9, 4 days shy of his 30th birthday. His funeral was held on September 11.

Jung Joong Ji had gained fame after participating in Produce 101 Season 2. He was eliminated in the 64th place with 86,864 votes. He also took part of many plays across the years such as “Prison.”

Beloved veteran actor Lee Eol passed away on May 26, SPOTV reported that the actor passed away today after battling esophageal cancer.

It was revealed that Lee Eol has been battling cancer since 2021 when he worked on “Voice 4.”

Lee Eol debuted as a theater actor in 1983 and on TV in 1993. He was loved for his performances throughout the years, he’s taken on many projects and excelled in all genres.

He appeared in various hit dramas including “Voice 4,” “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” “Stove League” and many more.

Lee Eol was 58 years old.

“Snowdrop” Actress Kim Mi Soo

On January 5, a Korean news outlet reported that Kim Mi Soo has passed away at the age of 30.

The news was a huge shock to fans considering how young the actress is, later, her agency confirmed the news via a statement. The agency has declined to comment on the cause of the death of Kim Mi Soo out of respect for the family.

Kim Mi Soo was a rising actress that has been acting since 2019, she’s been in many dramas including “Hi Bye Mama,” “The School Nurse Files,” and “Yumi’s Cells.”

“Snowdrop” was one of her last projects that she filmed prior to her death. She played the role of Yeo Jeong-Min in the drama and is part of the dorm girls.

Actress Kang Soo Yeon

Actress Kang Soo Yeon passed away on May 5. News outlets reported that the actress was discovered in a state of cardiac arrest around 5 p.m. in her home in Apgujeong, Gangnam, Seoul.

At the time, she received CPR and was rushed to a nearby hospital, it was noted that she was still unconscious. On May 7 at 3 p.m. KST, the actress passed away surrounded by her family members at Gangnam Severance Hospital.

Actress Kang Soo Yeon was only 55 years old. She was born in 1966 and started out as a child actress in 1969. She’s since appeared in various movies such as “3 Stars,” “Hanji,” and “Jury,” and won awards for her performances in others.

Kang Soo Yeon was active until her death. She had recently wrapped up the Netflix film “JUNG_E” and was busy promoting it. At the time of the news of her cardiac arrest, a rep from the film told news outlets they were keeping an eye on the situation.

Veteran Entertainer And TV Show Host Heo Cham passing shocked the Korean entertainment industry.

On February 1st, it was revealed that Heo Cham had passed away earlier in the day after battling liver cancer. He was 73 years old. Heo Cham is well-known in the industry, he’s the original host of the long-running KBS program “Family Arcade” and has served as the host for many popular variety shows during his career.

A close source to Heo Cham told Sports Kyunghyang that he kept his battle with liver cancer a secret until the very end, he tried his best to recover and it appears he was afraid of burdening those around him which is why he chose to keep it a secret. According to the source, Heo Cham was doing okay until December of 2021 when his health took a turn for the worse.

Lee ji han

Rising talent Lee Ji Han died as a result of the Itaewon tragedy that happened in late October of 2022. The news of his passing was especially heartbreaking because many believe it could have been easily prevented.

Lee Ji Han died in the Itaewon tragedy on October 29 and his funeral was held on November 1.

Lee Ji Han, who made himself known by appearing in Mnet’s “Produce 101” season 2, has strengthened his way as an actor by appearing in the 2019 web drama “Today Was Another Nam Hyun Day.” Recently, he was cast as actor Lim Soo Hyang’s ex-boyfriend in the MBC drama “The Season Of KKok Du,” which is scheduled to air in 2023, and was set to make his public debut.

Singer Lee Sang Hoon

Singer Lee Sang Hoon passed away on June 5. He was only 37 years old.

He originally debuted in a 5-member group called QOQ in 2002 but after a major car crash in December of that same year, the group disbanded. Some members were seriously injured and the group couldn’t go on and perform.

He re-debuted under the name Coolapica in 2007 and has been writing music as Mazik Flow in 2010. In 2012, he returned to promoting under his real name.

It was also revealed that Singer Lee Sang Hoon passed away due to cirrhosis of the liver. According to his family, he’s battling this illness for a year.

The funeral procession was held on June 7.

On June 8, it was revealed that Song Hae passed away at the age of 95. The MC recently received the title of the Oldest TV Music Talent Show Host by the Guinness World Records.

He’s known among Koreans for his hosting skills. He was born in 1927, and learned vocal music at Haeju Art School. He made his debut in 1955 through the Changgong Theater Company. He had come down to Busan in 1951 during the period of the Korean war.

He’s starred in many entertainment shows such as KBS2’s “A Look at Myself,” MBC TV’s “All Broadcasting in the World,” TV Chosun’s “The Golden Age of Alternate Characters,” and more.

Yoo Joo Eun

Actress Yoo Joo Eun passed away at only 27 years age by suicide.

On August 29, the deceased’s older brother reported the obituary through the deceased’s Instagram. Her older brother released the deceased’s suicide note and said, “On August 29, 2022, Joo Eun left the world and went to a comfortable place. If you have time, please come and give her your condolences. This is the last request from Joo Eun.”

In the suicide note shared by her older brother, she thanked her loved ones and apologized to her family for leaving first.

Meanwhile, Yoo Joo Eun appeared in tvN’s “Big Forest” and TV Chosun’s “ Joseon Survival Period.”
