Famous Korean actress Hwang Jung Eum has issued an apology regarding her recent post!
On April 4, the actress took to Instagram to share stories and posts about her husband’s alleged affair. She shared a photo of a woman and added captions suggesting she’s the mistress. In one story, she wrote, “You ugly woman. Please get married to Youngdonie [her husband’s name]. Can you just let me divorce him and go to Bangkok?”
She publicly shared the photo of the woman on her Instagram to her massive following creating a buzz.
However, the woman in question ended up issuing a statement denying any wrongdoing and demanding an apology. Ms. A clarified that she has no relation to Yeongdo, the person mentioned in Hwang Jung Eum’s post. She stated, “I am not Yeongdo’s mistress. I didn’t even know who Yeongdo was, and he probably didn’t know of my existence either.” She appealed, “I don’t usually watch SNL, but I watched it for the first time to support Hwang Jung Eum. Please check your DMs.”
Ms. A hoped for a post clarifying and apologizing for the mistake, and upon learning this, Hwang Jung Eum immediately posted an apology to Ms. A.
She wrote,
Hello.
I had a misunderstanding while organizing my personal matters.
I sincerely apologize for causing harm to the parties involved and those around them by posting a general post.
I have rewritten this post to correct the content.
I have also personally apologized to the affected parties.
I apologize for causing confusion and discomfort to the public due to my wrong judgment in a confusing emotional state where it is important to clearly distinguish between personal matters and public matters.

Earlier on February 22, the agency officially confirmed that Hwang Jung Eum is getting a divorce. Hwang Jung Eum married former professional golfer and entrepreneur Lee Young-don in 2016. In a heated exchange with some netizens a couple of days after her divorce announcement, the actress exposed her husband for allegedly cheating on her.
Hwang Jung Eum is currently appearing in the SBS drama “The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection.”
