Actress Kang Soo Yeon has passed away.
Previously, on May 5, news outlets reported that the actress was discovered in a state of cardiac arrest around 5 p.m. in her home in Apgujeong, Gangnam, Seoul.
At the time, she received CPR and was rushed to a nearby hospital, it was noted that she was still unconscious.
On May 7 at 3 p.m. KST, the actress passed away surrounded by her family members at Gangnam Severance Hospital. She is currently laid to rest at Samsung Medical Center, and her funeral will take place on May 11.
Actress Kang Soo Yeon was only 55 years old. She was born in 1966 and started out as a child actress in 1969. She’s since appeared in various movies such as “3 Stars,” “Hanji,” and “Jury,” and won awards for her performances in others.
Kang Soo Yeon was active until her death. She had recently wrapped up the Netflix film “JUNG_E” and was busy promoting it. At the time of the news of her cardiac arrest, a rep from the film told news outlets they were keeping an eye on the situation.
