Ra Mi Ran And Uhm Ji Won Go Up Against Each Other In New Poster For TVING’s “Cruel Intern” + Drama Confirms Premiere Date
The TVING original series “Cruel Intern” has unveiled the main posters featuring actresses Ra Mi Ran and Uhm Ji Won, exuding powerful charisma that promises a feast of great acting.
“Cruel Intern” tells the story of Go Haera (played by Ra Mi Ran), who makes a comeback as an intern after a 7-year hiatus, receiving a secret and cruel offer from her successful colleague, Choi Ji-won (played by Uhm Ji Won). This leads her to experience an internal conflict, igniting her life with the accumulated experience of a seasoned professional.
Ra Mi Ran takes on the role of Go Haera, who starts an internship to find her long-forgotten name and identity after seven years. Uhm Ji Won plays Choi Ji-won, a successful product planning director at Market House. They both start from the same point as new interns but eventually take different paths as seasoned “leaders” clashing fiercely with their wit, cruelty, and survival skills in the harsh corporate world, promising to deliver an enjoyable and relatable story.
The main posters, released on the 24th of July, sharply contrast the positions of “intern” and “boss” meeting each other. Haera was once the most passionate “workaholic” and a successful MD seven years ago, but now she is a full-time housewife with her career put on hold. On the other hand, Ji-won has been dedicated to her job, constantly promoted, and now holds a position where she can surpass executives.
The production team explained, “As much as the difference in their positions, the two characters have different perspectives and ways of solving problems. However, both of them have experienced the ups and downs of a ‘seasoned professional. We believe this drama will be relatable to all workers in South Korea, from fresh graduates to veterans nearing retirement. We hope that the exquisite acting delivered by Ra Mi Ran and Uhm Ji Won will be thoroughly enjoyed.”
“Cruel Intern” will premiere on TVING on August 11th, Friday.
