Famous Korean actress Hwang Jung Eum is receiving flack for her recent Instagram post and her subsequent apology, which she has since edited!
On April 4, the actress took to Instagram to share stories and posts about her husband’s alleged affair. She shared a photo of a woman and added captions suggesting she’s the mistress. In one story, she wrote, “You ugly woman. Please get married to Youngdonie [her husband’s name]. Can you just let me divorce him and go to Bangkok?”
She publicly shared the photo of the woman on her Instagram to her massive following creating a buzz.
However, the woman in question ended up issuing a statement denying any wrongdoing and demanding an apology. Shortly after, Hwang Jung Eum took to her Instagram to apologize, however, the statement was met with severe backlash after Ms. A exposed she hadn’t reached out to her as she said in her statement.
Ms. A said, “I never got a proper apology, and I’m still suffering from a lot of hate comments, misunderstandings, thousands of malicious follow requests, bad DMs.. and more.”
She added, “It’s too painful. However, the news articles turned out like this. An entertainer with a million followers publicly humiliates and slanders ordinary people, calling them derogatory names like *** and ** based on their own emotions, posting wrong messages, and the apology letter posted on the post is vague.”
Hwang Jung Eum then ended up editing her apology on Instagram, she wrote,
