Actors Lee Sung Min, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Lee Jung Eun will meet as a taxi driver, serial killer, and victim’s mother in an upcoming drama based on a webtoon.
On February 8th, TVing confirmed the production of the original series “The Day of Misfortune”. The casting lineup has also been completed and Lee Sung Min, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Lee Jung Eun will work together.
In “The Day of Misfortune” is based on a webtoon in which an ordinary taxi driver picks up a customer to Mokpo and realizes that he is a serial killer.
Lee Sung Min takes on the role of Oh Taek, a taxi driver. One day, after dreaming of a pig, he is offered 1 million Won to drive to Mokpo by a customer.
Yoo Yeon Seok plays the serial killer Geum Hyuk Soo. He proposes a trip to Mokpo to Oh Taek. He plans to stow away to cover up the murders he committed.
Lee Jung Eun plays the victim’s mother, Hwang Soon Gyu. She pursues the murderer, Geum Hyuk-soo, who killed her son.
Directed by director Pil Gam Seong, who directed “Hostage”, it is expected to raise the thrill to the maximum.
The production team said, “Please look forward to the compelling story, the actors’ new challenges, and director Pil’s directing.“
“The Day of Misfortune” will be released on TVing in the second half of this year.
