Singer’s Park Boram’s death has shocked the entertainment industry, police have recently issued an initial statement sharing insights into what happened.
On the 11th of April, it was revealed that singer Park Boram (30), who suddenly passed away, was drinking with acquaintances before her death.
According to the Gyeonggi Namyangju South Police Station on the 12th, Park Boram was drinking with two female acquaintances at a residential area of a friend in Namyangju City around 9:55 pm the previous day. After going to the restroom, she was found collapsed.
According to reports, when the acquaintances went to check on Park Boram since she didn’t come out of the restroom, they found her collapsed and reported it to 911 and the police.
At the time, Park Boram was found unconscious, lying in front of the vanity table inside the restroom. After reporting the incident, the acquaintances immediately performed CPR on Park Boram but she didn’t regain consciousness.
The police and fire department, who rushed to the scene, transferred the collapsed Park Boram to Hanyang University Guri Hospital, but she was confirmed dead at around 11:17 pm.
It was investigated that Park Boram didn’t have any severe injuries and there was no evidence suggesting any extreme choices. The police plan to request an autopsy from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
A police official said, “As the investigation is ongoing, it is difficult to disclose specific details.”
Meanwhile, the news of Park Boram’s death was announced through her agency earlier today, they stated, “In the late night of April 11, Park Boram suddenly left us. It is even more painful to deliver such sudden news to the fans who have been supporting Park Boram. After consulting with the immediate family, the funeral procedures are planned to be prepared, and we send our deep condolences for the final journey of the deceased once again.”
