NewJeans‘ Hyein has been diagnosed with a minor fracture in her foot just before her comeback. As a result, Hyein has decided to temporarily suspend activities until she recovers.
NewJeans’ agency, Adore, announced through the fan communication platform Foring on the 10th of April, “Hyein sustained an injury during practice and will have to pause her schedule for the time being. Hyein experienced pain in her foot during practice and went to the hospital for a detailed examination.”
Adore further explained that Hyein has been diagnosed with a minor fracture in her foot and based on the doctor’s advice to minimize movement, she will temporarily suspend all schedules until she recovers.
NewJeans, to which Hyein belongs, was scheduled to release double singles in Korea on May 24th and in Japan on June 21st. With the news of the injury just before their comeback, it is expected that there will be disruptions to their future schedules.
Cases like Hyein’s, where unexpected injuries or health issues occur just before meeting fans right after a comeback, are not uncommon.
