Lee Beom Soo has responded to Interpreter Lee Yoon Jin, who is currently in the middle of a divorce lawsuit with him, and promised legal action.
On the 23rd of March, Lee Yoon Jin left a comment on her Instagram in response to a netizen’s comment saying, “You have no idea how Daeul is doing? Oh my, Yoon-jin-nim,” saying, “If anyone knows about Daeul, please DM me.”
Earlier that day, Lee Yoon Jin posted a shocking lengthy note on her Instagram alluding to trouble in her marriage, her struggles with getting granted divorce and more.
She also mentioned that her daughter has been banned from entering their Seoul home since the end of last year due to choosing to study abroad for middle school. She claimed that she cannot enter the house without the approval and supervision of the head of the household, and also mentioned that she helped Lee Beom Soo with his tax investigation and civil and criminal lawsuits with the help of her family to overcome financial crises.
She further expressed her disappointment, claiming that Lee Beom Soo led a double life, had secret hobbies, and kept things so dearly, even hiding cell phones in socks. She called it deception and betrayal towards her family and said she does not want to know more.
She concluded her post by stating that cutting off the financial support and firmly closing the household doors will not solve the issue, and if there is at least one friend around who can communicate with him, she hopes they can convey her sincere reality.
Following this, Lee Beom Soo’s agency released an official statement on the same day, stating that they would not respond to every article based on Lee Yoon Jin’s posts on social media, they said, “We will not respond to each SNS post by Lee Yoon Jin being turned into news. Lee Yoon Jin will directly address claims and counterclaims in the lawsuit she initiated, responding as necessary.” The agency further stated, “There are many parts of the content posted by Lee Yoon Jin on SNS that are different from the truth,” and emphasized that Lee Beom Soo would respond sincerely in court.
Lee Beom Soo married Lee Yoon Jin in 2010. They have a son and a daughter together. Lee Beom Soo faced allegations of bullying towards students at Shinhan University’s Department of Performing Arts in 2022.
Rumors of their divorce surfaced in December of 2023, causing shock. Lee Yoon Jin posted a cryptic message on social media tagging Lee Beom Soo’s account. At the time, Lee Beom Soo’s agency denied they’re getting a divorce. However, about three months later, Lee Beom Soo’s agency confirmed, “It is true that Lee Beom Soo is currently going through divorce mediation. It is difficult to provide details as it is a personal matter.”
