Actors Kim Moo Yeol, Jeon Jong Seo, Ji Chang Wook, Lee Soo Hyuk, Jung Yoo Mi, and Park Ji Hwan are entering a bloody chase towards the throne for upcoming TVING 2024 drama.

The upcoming TVING original series “Empress Woo” (written by Lee Byung-hak and directed by Jung Se-gyo), set to be released in 2024, is an action historical drama depicting the pursuit and struggle of Queen Woo, who becomes the target of princes aiming for the throne and five tribes seeking power, as she strives to establish a new king within 24 hours.

Jeon Jong Seo will portray Queen Woo, promising the birth of a queen character never seen before. She possesses beauty and intelligence but lacks power due to being born into a non-influential noble family. She only has the king to rely on in the desolate palace, but when her husband faces a life-threatening crisis, her position and even her household are threatened.

Kim Moo Yeol will portray the role of a military general and advisor to the king. despite being from a local noble family, he possesses outstanding abilities that enable him to rise to high positions. While entrusted with the national affairs under the trust of the king, there are unfulfilled desires within him.

Ji Chang Wook takes on the role of the king and Woo’s husband. He is a perfect king with exceptional intellect, leading an army of 50,000 soldiers to defeat 30,000 soldiers of the Han Empire. However, his absence soon brings turmoil to the palace.

Jung Yoo Mi transforms into Woo-soon, Woo’s sister. Woo-soon, who possesses the most beautiful beauty in the northern region, loses the position of queen to her sister Woo in a momentary choice. As a result, Woo-soon becomes a maid to her sister in order to reclaim her own destiny within the palace.

Lee Soo Hyuk portrays the role of a contender for the throne of the land and the third prince. He has a cruel and cunning disposition and begins to reveal his suppressed desires for power when given the opportunity to seize the throne.

Park Ji Hwan plays the role of Mugol, the commander of the king’s direct unit, a fearless warrior who skillfully handles any weapon, is the commander who protects the king with the loyalty forged through long years of war.

“Empress Woo” is set to be released on TVING in 2024.
