Jo Bo Ah and Rowoon have been confirmed as the lead for the upcoming JTBC drama “This Love Is Inevitable.”
JTBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “This Love Is Inevitable” (written by No Ji Seol, directed by Nam Ki Hoon) tells the story of Lee Hong-jo (played by Jo Bo Ah), a civil servant from the Nokji Institute who obtains a sealed book that had been sealed for over 300 years, and Jang Shin-yoo (played by Rowoon), a lawyer who becomes the sacrificial lamb for the book. Their inevitable romance begins with their desperate wishes entangled in an unbreakable fate, providing a sweet and delightful romance with a unique excitement.
The main cast that has been confirmed includes: Jo Bo Ah, Rowoon, Ha Joon, and Yura.
Jo Bo Ah portrays Lee Hong-jo, a level 9 civil servant who works as a complaint resolution officer at Onju City Hall. Despite dealing with unimaginable complaints, Lee Hong-jo always does her best and is a person who is accustomed to being alone. Unexpectedly becoming the owner of the long-lost “Book of Curses,” she holds the key to breaking Jang Shin-yoo’s curse.
Rowoon transforms into Jang Shin-yoo, an ace lawyer waiting for the owner of the “Book of Curses” to release him. With his crisp linen shirts and an aura that seems to carry the scent of a well-dried laundry under the clear autumn sunlight, Jang Shin-yoo is a character who receives attention wherever he goes. As his mysterious illness worsens, he seeks help from Lee Hong-jo, known as the “owner of the book,” with the desperate desire to break the curse that has plagued his family for generations.
Ha Joon plays Kwon Jae-kyung, Lee Hong-jo’s lover, who undergoes changes in his feelings as he witnesses the growing closeness between Lee Hong-jo and Jang Shin-yoo. With a sweet smile hiding unnoticed wounds, he doesn’t easily reveal his inner thoughts.
Yura portrays Yoon Na-yeon, Jang Shin-yoo’s lover. As Jang Shin-yoo shows special interest in Lee Hong-jo, who has been his object of unrequited love, Na-yeon’s long-held resentment begins to emerge.
The JTBC drama “This Love Is Inevitable” is scheduled to air in August.
