Ji Sung And Jeon Mi Do In Talks For Upcoming 2024 SBS Drama
Actors Ji Sung and Jeon Mi Do could potentially link up for an upcoming SBS drama!
According to Star News’ exclusive coverage on the 12th, it was reported that Ji Sung and Jeon Mi Do have been cast in the upcoming SBS drama ‘Connection’ (working title).
‘Connection’ is a crime investigation thriller that depicts the distorted friendship of friends as they trace the death of a high school friend who left behind 5 billion won in insurance money. It will be directed by Kim Moon Gyo, the director of SBS’ ‘Trolley,’ and written by Lee Hyun, the writer of JTBC’s ‘My Fellow Citizens.’
Shortly after the report was published, the two actors’ agencies said they have received scripts for the upcoming drama but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Ji Sung has been offered the role of Jang Jae Kyung, the calm and meticulous head of the narcotics team in the metropolitan investigation unit. Jang Jae Kyung is a character who receives the 5 billion won death insurance money after his high school friend chooses to die.
Jeon Mi Do has been offered the role of Oh Yoon Jin, who returns to her hometown after being unfairly dismissed from a major daily newspaper and works as a poor economic manager at a small newspaper company. Oh Yoon Jin is a character who shows the true face of friendship when she hears the news that her high school friend, who was living alone supporting herself and her children after her husband and children immigrated abroad, has left behind 5 billion won in insurance money.
