SM Entertainment has addressed the future of EXO activities after it was announced that Baekhyun, Chen And Xiumin have left the label.
Earlier today, through an official statement, the independent label ‘I&B 100’ announced they signed Xiumin and Chen. Baekhyun has established the label and the three members are now under it. In their statement, they also clarified that the group activities will be carried out by SM.
In a new statement to EXO’s official account, SM wrote,
Hello, this is SM Entertainment. We would like to provide you with an update on EXO’s future activities.
Moving forward, all eight members of EXO will continue to promote as a group. They will showcase new music and stages, as well as participate in various activities such as the EXO fan meeting scheduled for April. We plan to meet and interact with fans consistently.
In particular, the members who have completed their contract renewal will continue their exclusive contracts. D.O. (Do Kyungsoo), whose exclusive contract has expired, has agreed to continue his activities with EXO, and we are currently discussing future schedules. Chen (Kim Jongdae), Baekhyun (Byun Baekhyun), and Xiumin (Kim Minseok) have reached an agreement with our company, allowing them to pursue individual activities under their exclusive contracts.
As always, EXO plans to communicate with fans through good music and performances. We kindly ask for your continued interest and support for the members’ activities.
SM Entertainment will continue to put in efforts and provide support for EXO and each member’s activities and growth.
