The final autopsy results from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation (NISI) revealed the cause of death of singer Park Bo Ram, who unexpectedly passed away last month.
According to the Namyangju Southern Police Station on the 23rd of May, the police recently received the final autopsy report from the NISI, which indicated that “Park Bo Ram is presumed to have died from acute alcohol poisoning.”
No other possible causes of death, apart from acute alcohol poisoning, were found. However, it was confirmed that the deceased had poor health due to liver and fatty liver disease at the time of death.
On the evening of the 11th of last month, Park Bo Ram collapsed while leaving a friend’s house in Namyangju to go to the bathroom during a gathering. The friend immediately reported the incident to emergency services, and Park Bo Ram was transferred to a nearby hospital. However, she was ultimately pronounced dead.
Born in 1994, Park Bo Ram gained popularity at a young age with her exceptional singing ability when she appeared on the Mnet audition program ‘Superstar K2’ in 2010. After gaining much love from the public, she made her official debut in the music industry in 2014 with the song ‘Pretty’. It reached 19th place on the annual music charts that year.
She released many songs and participated in activities until her death. It was especially heartbreaking to hear that she was preparing for an album release in commemoration of her 10th debut anniversary this year.
