SHINee’s Onew Reportedly Also Leaving SM Entertainment
SHINee‘s Onew is also reportedly leaving SM Entertainment, where he has been for a long time.
According to multiple entertainment sources on March 5, Onew is finishing his exclusive contract with SM in the first half of this year.
Various possibilities are being considered for his future activities. Previously, it was reported that Taemin was also leaving and he’s set to join BPM which said in a statement they’re looking into the reports.
SM has kept a tight lip on the matter refusing to make a statement addressing the contracts of the SHINee members as of this writing.
Onew, who debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008, has been loved for many hit songs such as ‘Replay,’ ‘View,’ ‘Ring Ding Dong,’ and ‘Sherlock.’
In 2018, marking his 10th year since debut, he released his first solo album ‘Voice’ and took his first steps as a solo artist. He has been actively participating in both team and solo activities in Korea and Japan, and even held his first solo concert in March last year to meet his fans.
However, after the solo concert, he planned to continue SHINee’s 8th full-length album activities to commemorate their 15th anniversary, but had to halt activities due to poor health conditions.
