Danielle from NewJeans has been cast as the lead role of Ariel in the Korean dubbed version of the movie “The Little Mermaid”.
Walt Disney Company Korea announced on May 12th, “Danielle will showcase a different side of herself by acting in the dubbing and singing the OST as the role of ‘Ariel’. Danielle, who has a similar age and a cheerful image to that of ‘Ariel’ in the movie, is expected to fully embody the charm of the curious and bright of a teenage girl.”
In the still image released on this day, Danielle captured attention with her eyes closed and concentrating on singing. In the pictures where she looks straight ahead with a thoughtful gaze or looks elsewhere, she exudes a mysterious aura. Along with the pictures, a video was also released.

The video was a teaser of ‘Part of Your World,’ a song from the movie’s OST sung by her.
