SM Entertainment, the agency of NCT member Jaehyun, is taking legal action in response to his ‘fan’ who illegally invaded his residence.
Earlier, a video taken by a stalker who illegally trespassed into the hotel where Jaehyun stayed during his US tour spread online and caused controversy.
On the 22nd of August, SM stated, “The video seriously violates the artist’s privacy and is an illegal act. We are collecting evidence against the person who first uploaded the video and all those who redistributed it. We will request thorough investigation with the cooperation of domestic and international websites and law firms.”
The video quickly spread to online communities the day before. The stalker who illegally entered the hotel where Jaehyun stayed used a hotel key card to enter his room and filmed his clothes, etc., and publicly released it, causing a stir.
This is not the first time NCT members have suffered from private fans. In November last year, a stalker who invaded member Haechan’s residence was prosecuted.
Meanwhile, NCT will hold their group concert ‘NCT NATION: To The World’ at Incheon Munhak Stadium on the 26th. On the 28th, they will release their 4th full album ‘Golden Age’.
