Lucas, a former member of NCT and WayV, will debut as a solo singer soon.
On March 8, Lucas’ agency, SM Entertainment, told Newsen, “Lucas is preparing for his solo activities in April. The detailed schedule will be released later.”
After debuting with NCT in 2018, Lucas also worked with WayV and SuperM. Lucas, who was embroiled in controversy over his private life in 2021, issued an apology at the time and halted his activities. He then decided to leave NCT in May last year and continue his individual activities.
Lucas said, “I am truly sorry to the members, and considering our long friendship, I feel very sad. I hope the members will remember me as Huang Xuxi, not Lucas. I really love the members and will always support them,” expressing his feelings for the members.
Lucas has also recently released a documentary hinting at the resumption of his activities.
