NCT/WayV Lucas, who had been suspended due to his private controversy has left his groups.

On May 10, SM Entertainment issued a statement via its official social media channels, they wrote,

This is SM Entertainment.
We have an announcement to share with you regarding LUCAS’ future plans.
After our deliberate discussion LUCAS, we made a mutual decision to part ways with the group NCT and WayV to pursue his individual endeavors.
We ask for your understanding and continuous support as this was a decision taken
after much consideration of both the members and all the fans who have supported.
LUCAS is planning on showing his performances through a wide variety of individual works from now on.
Once again, we sincerely appreciate lavished love and support from all the fans and ask for your continuous support and interest in the future.
Thank you.

Lucas suspended his activities in 2020 due to controversy over his personal life. Internet user A, who claimed to be Lucas’ ex-lover at the time, revealed Lucas’ private life incidents through some online communities and SNS. A said Lucas had been dating Korean and Chinese female fans at the same time. In the meantime, A also claimed that Lucas severely gaslighted her and forced her to pay for all the dating expenses.

A also released Lucas’ voice files and photos as evidence, saying they lost contact when she said she would take legal action.

In response, SM Entertainment, his agency, apologized, “We are responsible for the lack of artist management.” While Lucas also posted an apology.

Meanwhile, Lucas is from Hong Kong and debuted as an NCT member in 2018. He was rumored to be coming back to activities after fans saw his SNS activities some time back.
