CLC’s Sorn has issued a statement addressing her recent photo shoot that had recently come under fire!
Recently, Sorn graced the cover of a magazine for a photo shoot. She wore Versace and was accompanied by a male model. However, her hair came under fire as it resembles the hair texture of black people with afro hair. Many fans voiced their comments about the photo shoot on social media prompting calls for an apology.
After the backlash, Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore removed the controversial photos from their websites and Sorn’s agency issued an apology. However, their apology was met with backlash as some fans believe it was not enough and not worded as an apology should.
The next day, Sorn took to Twitter to write an apology, here is what she wrote in English,
Hello everyone, this is Sorn.
I want to sincerely apologize for the recent editorial shoot that I’ve done.
While I was not involved in the styling for the shoot, myself and my team shouldn’t have let it proceed. I never meant to upset or offend anyone so please know that I’m really sorry.
I am also so sorry for disappointing my fans who have always given me a lot of support. I’m going to take some time to reflect on my actions and educate myself more.
Thank you.
