BIGBANG’s Highly-anticipated Comeback Stage With “Coachella 2020” Officially Cancelled Along With The Festival As Well
“Coachella 2020” is not happening!
According to Billboard, the festival has officially been canceled after being postponed to October this year. The festival’s company “Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG)” has canceled it.
The festival was cancelled because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Originally, it was postponed to October but as the pandemic continues to affect countries around the world, large events such as festival will likely never return until it’s contained.
BIGBANG was supposed to mark their grand return to the music scene after their hiatus due to military service with Coachella. They were announced as part of the lineup for this year becoming the first Kpop boy group to achieve this aside from the Hip Hop trio Epik High.
Billboard also reported that “Coachella” is considering returning in 2021 but in a limited capacity sometimes in 2021.
Looks like we’ll have to wait longer to see BIGBANG on stage again!

My Personal Thoughts
2021 seems like a far stretch, the pandemic isn’t going away in a year. It will likely never go away unless there is a vaccine available and the majority of people get it. Until then, it’s very unlikely that a festival like this one, a very big one, will ever return even on a small scale. The risk is just too high.
It’s very sad because I was planning on attending in 2021, but festivals will likely take a long time to return. It’s the reality we live in. I was super excited about BIGBANG’s return in April through the festival and imagined just how much they would’ve rocked it but the virus just came out of nowhere.
Hopefully, the group releases a song this year.
