BIGBANG T.O.P Opens Up About How Dangerous Malicious Comments Can Be
BIGBANG T.O.P has joined many other Kpop idols and netizens who are speaking up about how dangerous online comments can be and how much they can damage a person.
Following Sulli’s sudden tragic passing, the topic of online hate malicious comments has been trending, many netizens believe the hate comments contributed to Sulli’s sudden passing, some have been advocating for harsher sentences and regulations regarding this.
Sulli has suffered malicious comments for doing the simplest things; she never broke laws or caused anything worthy of the amount of hate and backlash she got. Nevertheless, everything she ever did made headlines and usually caused severe backlash.
BIGBANG T.O.P has been on the receiving end of many malicious comments following his marijuana controversy. To this day, BIGBANG T.O.P suffers from malicious comments, one recent malicious comment told him to reflect and never show his face on TV again, he said he had no plans to do that hinting at the possibility of never returning to the entertainment industry. Fans became worried that the hate he’s been receiving pushed him out of the industry.
On October 16, The Korea Entertainment Management Association (CEMA) released a lengthy statement addressing the malicious comments Kpop idols suffer from, they promised to take strong legal action to stop cyber bullying. it’s also been reported that lawmakers are proposing a bill to counter malicious comments.
On October 16, BIGBANG T.O.P also spoke up about this, to his instagram story; he shared a photo of someone else’s post. The photo shows a guy who’s masked in darkness as they lift a singer to their phone, the caption reads,
“Malicious comments are murder.” Freedom comes with responsibilities.”
