Apink is discussing the renewal of their exclusive contract with their current agency ahead of the expiration at the end of April.
An IST Entertainment official told Maeil Business Daily Star on February 23rd, “We are constantly discussing whether to renew the contract with Apink ahead of the expiration of the exclusive contract at the end of April.”
In 2021, five members of Apink, Jung Eun Ji, Park Cho Rong, Kim Nam Joo, Oh Ha Young, and Yoon Bomi, signed a renewal contract and continued their team activities. Former member Son Na Eun left the agency at the time and transferred to her current agency, YG Entertainment, and subsequently left the team.
Debuting in 2011 with ‘I Don’t Know’, Apink, celebrated their 12th anniversary this year and performed ‘Mr.Chu’, ‘NoNoNo’, ‘%%(Eungeung)’, and ‘Dumhdurum’.
Last year’s special album ‘Horn’ also swept the top ranks on major domestic music charts right after its release, as well as recording the top 5 on the iTunes top album chart in 12 countries and breaking its own record in Initial sales. They showed off their strong potential even in his 12th year.
Apink is preparing for a comeback with a new mini-album in April.
