Actor Lee Jae Wook and aespa‘s Karina have broken up.
An official from Lee Jae Wook’s agency, C-Jes Entertainment, stated to SpoTV News on the 2nd of April, “Actor Lee Jae Wook has decided to focus on the project he is currently filming, and the two have decided to break up. They will remain as colleagues who support and cheer for each other.”
The official added, “We will greet you with good activities in the future. We ask for warm attention and support.”
According to reports from a media outlet, Lee Jae Wook and Karina decided to break up due to emotional distress caused by various malicious comments and their apologetic feelings towards fans.
Lee Jae Wook and Karina met and developed a romantic relationship after attending a luxury brand collection event in Milan, Italy last month. They officially confirmed their relationship on February 27th when photos of their date were made public. At that time, both agencies stated, “The two are just getting to know each other” and asked for respect with warm eyes.
After this, Karina’s fandom expressed their opposition to the relationship by sending a truck with protest messages to their agency. In response, Karina apologized for causing a lot of surprise and expressed her desire to heal any hurt feelings that her fans may have.
