Shin Min Ah and Kim Young Dae will team up for the new drama series ‘Because I Don’t Want to Lose’.
The drama series ‘Because I Don’t Want to Lose’ (written by Kim Hye-young, directed by Kim Jung-sik, produced by CJ ENM Studios and Bon Factory, provided by Tving and tvN) is a romantic comedy about a woman named Son Hae-young who holds a fake wedding because she doesn’t want to incur losses, and a man named Kim Ji-wook who becomes her fake groom because he doesn’t want to harm her.
Actress Shin Min Ah has been cast as Son Hae-young, who dislikes incurring losses in any situation. Since she was young, she had to share her mother’s love with others, and even in relationships, she always had to calculate the benefits and losses. When she is in danger of missing out on a promotion at work, she plans a fake wedding.
Actor Kim Young Dae will play the role of Kim Ji-wook, a part-time convenience store worker who is known as a neighborhood hero and a citizen police officer. Kim Ji-wook is a perfect worker with a great mind and sincerity, who can’t turn away from people in need in the neighborhood. He accepts a ridiculous proposal from Son Hae-young, a customer who is completely opposite to him, and becomes her fake groom, entering a new phase of his life.
‘Because I Don’t Want to Lose’ has attracted attention with the meeting of rom-com experts Shin Min Ah and Kim Young Dae. The drama is raising expectations with the collaboration of talented creators who go beyond comedy and romance. Director Kim Jung Ssik, who showed a witty style in the Tving original ‘Drunk City Women’, took the helm, and writer Kim Hye Young, known for ‘Her Private Life’, completed a solid story.
