Rowoon expressed his thoughts on leaving the group and transitioning to acting through the drama “The Matchmakers“.
On the afternoon of the 30th of October, the production presentation for the KBS2 drama “The Matchmakers” was held at The Saint in Seoul’s Guro District. Rowoon attended the event.
Rowoon opened up about leaving SF9 answering the press’s questions and stated, “I decided to leave the team. I wanted to become more serious and dedicated to the profession of acting, and I have a strong desire to do well, so I made this choice.”
When asked about SF9 member Hwiyoung, who also appears in the drama, Rowoon said, “The team members are also appearing in the drama. We joke around and talk to each other as if we were playing around in our usual everyday lives.”
He also expressed his gratitude, saying, “Fortunately, those friends also support me. I am also cheering for those friends from the bottom of my heart. Some people may feel disappointed by this choice, but that is a problem that I have to handle. If I can show and make them understand, it could be a stepping stone for growth, so I made this difficult choice.”
“The Matchmakers” is a comical melo drama set in the Joseon era, where a matchmaker and a widow meet and carry out a plan to marry a wealthy man.
The drama has already been making headlines for achieving promising ratings for its first episode.
