Actress Lim Se Mi is joining the new drama ‘Wonderful World’ (working title).
On the 8th of June, the production team of the new drama ‘Wonderful World’ announced this news. Cha Eun Woo was recently confirmed for the main lead role opposite Nam Joo who also previously confirmed for the lead role.
“Wonderful World” (written by Kim Ji-eun, directed by Lee Seung-young), is an emotional healing thriller that follows Eun Soo-hyun (played by Kim Nam Joo), who unjustly lost her young son, as she takes matters into her own hands to punish the perpetrator who escaped legal consequences.
Kim Nam Joo will portray Eun Soo-hyun, a psychology professor and a successful writer who leads an enviable life without any scars. Through the process of seeking justice for herself by personally punishing the perpetrator and living a desperate life, she becomes intertwined with others who have suffered similar wounds, solving mysterious cases and healing each other’s souls and emotional wounds.
Lim Se Mi will play Han Yoo-ri, a close friend and the successful owner of a Cheongdam editorial shop, who is like a sibling to Eun Soo-hyun (played by Kim Nam Joo) in the drama. Han Yoo-ri considers Eun Soo-hyun and her mother more precious than her own life and becomes a source of support and help for Eun Soo-hyun, who carries the pain of losing her young son.
Lim Se Mi’s character is expected to showcase a strong bond as close sisters with Kim Nam-joo, while having previously worked with Cha Eun Woo in ‘True Beauty,’ their reunion is gaining attention.
The new drama “Wonderful World” aims to start production with the goal of airing in the first half of 2024.
