Lee Sung Kyung has explained the dating rumors with Kim Young kwang!
Actor Lee Sung Kyung revealed various stories about Disney+’s “Call it Love” in an interview with a new outlet at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul on the 10th of April.
Regarding Kim Young Kwang, who acts with her in “Call it Love,” Lee Sung Kyung said, “We were close since we were young, so it was a mischievous mood. But in the drama, he said that he avoided me a lot in the beginning to concentrate.”
He said, “When I meet him, I also try to restrain myself, and if oppa avoids me, I don’t follow him and try to focus on the character and the scene. Fortunately, we were able to concentrate well on the situation because we were able to approach the process of slowly getting closer in a realistic way, rather than acting out the exciting and thrilling scenes of Woo-joo (Lee Sung-kyung) and Dong-jin (Kim Young-kwang).”
Lee Sung Kyung added, “The hardest thing was directing the kiss scene in Hyeseong’s (Kim Yewon’s) imagination. As for the kissing scene, the director prepared the scene in advance and told us. I was surprised, but since Woo-joo and Dong-jin had already built up from the middle part, it wasn’t that difficult later on.”
There were also rumors that Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Kwang were really dating because of their sweet chemistry. Lee Sung Kyung explained, “The director said from the editing of the first and second episodes that ‘they have suspicious eyes in the editing room and misunderstand everything.’ It seemed deliberate. But since the director only saw Han Dong-jin and Shim Woo-joo’s appearance, which was not our original appearance, it could be interpreted that way.” She expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thanks to the director’s well-made work, the actors felt the power of the reaction and were able to shoot better.”
“Call it Love” is a work that depicts the emotional romance between two men and women who should not have met, Woo-joo, a woman who jumped into revenge with enthusiasm, and Dong-jin, a man who became the target of revenge.
The drama airs its finale this Wednesday!
