Production Company Of IU And Park Bo Gum’s Upcoming Drama Issues Apology For Inconveniencing Tourists While Filming
The production company of Park Bo Gum and IU’s drama “I Was Fooled” has issued an apology for causing inconvenience during filming.
On the 26th, a post was uploaded on an online community stating that the drama team caused inconvenience due to their filming at the Cheongbori Field Festival in Gochang. The author, A, expressed dissatisfaction, saying, “As I entered the field of rapeseed flowers and was taking pictures, a staff member blocked me and said that they were filming for the drama, and that I couldn’t come here. So I tried to take pictures of the flowers in the direction opposite to where they were filming, but as soon as I held up my camera, they yelled, ‘Don’t take pictures.’ Can’t tourists even take pictures when they come to see the flowers? They were filming from a very far distance, so why can’t we take pictures of the rapeseed flowers?”
A further complained, “They are not just blocking the area where they are filming, but blocking the entrance. They blocked the road at the center of the festival, which was crowded with tourists at 4 pm, and told us not to take pictures. What kind of festival is this? The visitors went back feeling upset because they were just watching out for filming instead of enjoying the festival together.”
“I was fooled” is a drama that tells the adventure-filled life of Ae Soon and Gwan Sik, a ‘desperate rebel’ born in Jeju in the 1950s. IU plays the role of Ae Soon, a rebel, and Park Bo Gum plays Gwan Sik, a character with a tough personality.
The production team of the drama apologized, saying, “We apologize for not paying more attention to the visitors who took precious time out to visit while minimizing inconvenience and ensuring safe filming and preventing spoiler leaks. We will be more cautious during the filming process in the future.”
