Teasing its original series, ‘Chunhwa Romance,’ TVING has announced the casting confirmation of actors Go Ah Sung And Jang Ryul.
“Chunhwa Romance” portrays the romance that unfolds as Princess Hwari, a mischievous princess of the royal family, steps outside the palace to enjoy free-spirited dating in order to directly select her husband for the royal marriage.
Go Ah Sung has been cast in the role of Princess Hwari, a young princess who grew up freely and independently, actively seeking love. This marks her first challenge in a rated-19 historical drama with ‘“Chunhwa Romance”. Anticipation is high for her portrayal of Princess Hwari, who leads a self-reliant life with profound acting prowess, presenting a new side of herself.
Jang Ryul has been confirmed to play Choi Hwan, the top martial artist and wealthy man who becomes Princess Hwari’s first potential husband candidate. He will transform into Choi Hwan, a charming playboy who flaunts his wealth and women but harbors a hidden secret.
As the story draws inspiration from a popular royal romance novel collection loved by contemporary female readers, attention is also focused on the synergy between female writers and a female director.
The series is directed by Lee Kwang-young and the screenplay is penned by Seo Eun-jeong, known for sitcoms.
With its fresh concept inspired by a royal romance novel collection and the transformative acting of Go Ah Sung And Jang Ryul, the drama is scheduled to premiere in 2024.
