Dispatch Reports Lee Jung Jae Was Heavily Involved In Recruiting T.O.P In “Squid Game 2,” Lee Jung Jae’s Side Denies

Dispatch has released another shocking report that has since been refuted!

On June 29, Netflix revealed additional cast members for the upcoming season of “Squid Game,” the casting included T.O.P which came as a huge shock. Some netizens began expressing their displeasure with the news due to his past controversies.

Then, Dispatch came out with a report and alleged that Lee Jung Jae was heavily involved in the recruitment of T.O.P into the cast of the drama. The media outlet brought up how close the two are and how when Jung Jae and Im Se Ryung were dating way back in 2014, their date location was at T.O.P’s apartment. Its known the two are friends in the industry and share various common hobbies.

Dispatch alleged that Lee Jung Jae is helping “save” T.O.P by casting him in the highly anticipated 2nd season and even go as far as to claim the actor has been trying to recruit him for acting projects in the past but the attempt failed every time.

Following the report, a close associate denied the rumors of Lee Jung Jae denied the news. On the 29th of June, a representative from Lee Jung Jae’s side stated to OSEN, “Lee Jung-jae and T.O.P have had no contact or communication for several years. Their last contact was already years ago.”

Furthermore, the representative emphatically stated, “It is truly an unbelievable rumor that they would be involved in ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 casting without any contact for several years. It is absolutely not true.”

They continued, “The casting of the work is the authority of the director and production company. Lee Jung Jae knows better than anyone that the cast for ‘Squid Game 2’ is determined through auditions and the efforts of many actors who strive for roles due to the high level of interest in the project. We once again emphasize that the claim of Lee Jung Jae’s involvement in the casting of ‘Squid Game 2’ is not true.”

Additionally, OSEN reports that Lee Jung Jae saw T.O.P’s face at the script reading session for ‘Squid Game’ Season 2, which took place on the 23rd of June, and it was during this occasion that he learned about T.O.P’s casting news.
