Big Hit Confirms BTS Jungkook Visited Itaewon With Friends + Issues Apology For His Actions
Big Hit has returned with an official statement regarding Dispatch’s report.
Earlier today, Dispatch reported that BTS’s Jungkook, Seventeen’s Mingyu, NCT’s Jaehyun, and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo were the rumored idols visited Itaewon clubs on April 25.
It was the same day the government issued an order for people to practice social distancing, Jungkook was said to have tested negative for COVID-19 and was self-isolating.
Big Hit has released an official statement on the matter confirming that he indeed visited Itaewon with his friends on April 25,
“It is true that Jungkook visited Itaewon. However, at the time of the visit, he did not go to the place where the confirmed case occurred in early May.”
They admit that their response was lacking after several media outlets asked about the reports when they first appeared last week,
“Additionally, we decided that it would not be appropriate to disclose the artist’s personal life to the public because we voluntarily took measures such as taking Corona 19 inspections according to government guidelines.
… We bow our head in apology.”
They added that Jungkook visited the bar and the restaurant with his friends on the night of April 25th and that his test results came out negative,
“He is also deeply regretting how he didn’t follow social distancing measures seriously.”
They closed their statement stating that they’re following the virus prevention measures and promised to work harder to ensure this never happens again.
