Yoon Ji Sung has expressed his firm stance against a fan’s discriminatory remarks.

Recently, Yoon Ji Sung communicated with fans through the fan community platform, Bubble, exchanging messages and staying connected. Yoon Ji Sung shared updates about his 3-day, 4-night reserve forces training schedule and asked fans about their well-being.

During the conversation, Yoon Ji Sung opened up about receiving comments like “Why are you dressed like a gay person?” or “Can’t you have a more masculine hairstyle?” In response, Yoon Ji Sung stated, “I don’t believe there are clothes that are ‘gay-like.’ I can wear a skirt and style my hair however I want. There is no definition of femininity or masculinity in terms of hair, behavior, or speech. I hope there are no discriminatory remarks.”

He continued, “I understand that people may not like certain hairstyles, makeup, or outfits. However, it should not lead to discriminatory remarks. I can wear and do anything, and you can too,” emphasizing that everyone should be cautious of making discriminatory comments.

Lastly, Yoon Ji Sung urged fans to be careful, saying, “I didn’t start this discussion to fight. We should all be cautious about these social aspects. Let’s live our short lives beautifully. Let’s be careful together.”

Netizens criticized the fan who expressed discriminatory remarks, saying, “Why would you say something like that on a paid communication platform?” They praised Yoon Ji Sung for his wise response too.

Meanwhile, Yoon Ji Sung debuted as a member of the group Wanna One through the Mnet survival program ‘Produce 101 Season 2.’ He later debuted as a solo artist in February 2019 and has been active in various fields.
