Various kpop idols are reacting on SNS following the tragic sudden passing of ASTRO member Moonbin.

MC and comedian Jang Sung-kyu expressed his sadness during the MBC radio show “Good Morning FM Jang Sung-kyu,” he said, “Even when I saw him recently, he seemed so bright. It doesn’t feel real. May he rest in peace.”

Jung Shin Hye who previously worked with Moonbin wrote on her Instagram, “I will not forget your kind and caring heart. I hope you will be pain-free and peaceful there, doing what you want and being happy~ See you again,”

Musical actor Kim Ho-young also posted a photo of white chrysanthemums on social media, saying, “My heart is heavy. I’m sorry I couldn’t keep my promise to buy you a meal.”

During the opening of Mnet’s “M Countdown,” MCs Jooheon and Miyeon wore black clothing and mentioned the late Moonbin.

Jooheon said, “Today, the spring rain is not welcoming. A colleague who cried and laughed with us on stage for a long time has left us and become a star in the sky.” Miyeon also mourned, saying, “We offer deep condolences to the news that is so sad and heart-wrenching. Rest in peace in a good place. We will sincerely pray for you.”

Comedian Kwon Hyuk Soo said, “I love you so much… I’m sorry, thankful, and I miss you. Be well.”

Kim Jong Kook wrote to his YouTube channel community page, “Hello. This is Kim Jong Kook. He was a junior I had also wanted to see on my channel. Rest in peace.”

4MINUTE members Jiyoon and Nam Jihyun also uploaded stories mourning his death.

Comedian Hong Seok Cheon wrote to Instagram, “My heart aches so much after hearing the news last night. I was a fan and supporting him, but as a senior, I haven’t done anything for him. I hope he can rest in peace. I’m sorry, I’m very sorry.”

EXID’s Hani posted a black image with an emoji of prayer to her Instagram, and Hyelin said while hosting a press conference for a variety program, “I’ve received the sad news about Moonbin. I would like to pay my respects. I will remember the beauty that he showed on stage.”

IU paid her respect and sent her condolences to the idol; she also delayed her scheduled interview as a result.

BTS RM posted a blank black page to his Instagram stories. Hyolyn wrote, “Please don’t get sick there. I will pray for you.”

SHINee’s member Taemin wrote, “I remember you shining on stage. I hope that you’re happy where you are and that you’re always shining there.”

JYJ’s Jaejoong also posted about the idol, he wrote, “May you be happier in heaven.” Moonbin starred in TVXQ Balloons MV in 2006. In 2021, Moonbin guested on ‘The Neighborhood Young Man’ which was hosted by Kim Jaejoong.

Yunho also posted a message saying, “I will not forget the bright and shining figure who smiled brightly. I pray that you will be peaceful and happy there.”
