TR Entertainment paid tribute to the late producer and composer Shinsadong Tiger (41, Lee Ho-yang).
On the 27th of February, TR Entertainment stated, “PD Shinsadong Tiger has become a star shining eternally in our hearts,” and remembered him as someone who was more passionate and full of ideas about music than anyone else, “he was a warm and affectionate person who sincerely empathized with even trivial concerns.”
“He was a reliable support for TRI.BE, running with the members’ dreams for a long time even before their debut, always a steadfast presence supporting them from behind. We will never forget the music he shared with us and all the moments created because of him. We pray that he rests peacefully in a place where his body and mind are tranquil.”
Shinsadong Tiger was found dead in his studio on the 23rd. Two days earlier, the girl group TRI.BE, produced by him, released their fourth single, ‘Diamond.’ He had been promoting TRI.BE through social media, which added to the shock of the sudden news.
Despite the abrupt news, TRI.BE canceled some music broadcast schedules, but they decided to perform on MBC TV’s ‘Show! Music Core,’ adorned with white ribbons, in memory of Shinsadong Tiger.Shinsadong Tiger left a mark on hits for 2nd generation idol groups like 4Minute’s ‘Hot Issue,’ T-ara’s ‘Roly-Poly,’ EXID’s ‘Up & Down,’ Apink’s ‘NoNoNo,’ and more.
