TO1’s Renta has left his group.
Recently, the idol took to Instagram to share a personal handwritten letter announcing the surprising news to fans.
His letter reads as follows:
Hello, it’s Renta.
I decided to write this letter to express my gratitude and thankfulness to TOGETHER [the fandom name].
Recently, I have been thinking a lot about what I should do in the future, and I have had many discussions with my family, members, and company staff. I have thought a lot about it. After a lot of discussions and contemplation, we have decided to conclude my activities as TO1 Renta and support each other to move forward on our own paths.
I came to Korea because I wanted to become an idol, and I have been very happy fulfilling my dream as a member of TO1, experiencing many things. I have always told my family and members, but I was really happy that debuting as TO1 was my destiny.
And over the past year, I have met many people and had really good experiences. I have been able to do things that I have dreamed of before my debut, and spending time with our leader Jaeyoon hyung, Chan hyung, Donggun hyung, Jisoo hyung, Jaeyoo hyung, Kyungho hyung, Daigo hyung, and our Yeongjing has been the happiest time of my life.
Above all, thanks to TOGETHER, I have been able to spend happy times by my side for a year. Thank you, TOGETHER.
I wanted to show TOGETHER how I would grow and progress in the future, but I’m sorry. However, I will make an effort to come back someday with a wonderful appearance. I hope TOGETHER stays well every day and eats well.
Don’t worry, I will be fine too.

Renta is the 5th member of TO1 to announce his departure from the group. He had joined the group in June of 2022.
