Teen Top‘s leader C.A.P (real name Bang Min-soo, 30) is in controversy for using swear words during a live broadcast, but the agency has announced that the comeback will proceed as planned!

On May 9, a representative of the agency T.O.P Media stated, “Teen Top’s album release in July will proceed without interruption. We are currently checking on matters related to contract renewal.”

In a recent live broadcast, C.A.P expressed anger at comments from fans pointing out his swearing, drinking, and smoking, saying “I don’t know why it’s so annoying. First of all, people who never watch my broadcasts suddenly come and say, ‘Isn’t this wrong?’ and I really hate that. When I think about why those people come and say that to me, even though they didn’t consume me before, it seems like it’s because I’m part of the team. They are afraid that the team will be damaged. If they didn’t like it, they should have talked to me at least six months ago, if not before I went to the military.”

He then caused controversy by saying, “This may sound like a sudden bolt from the blue to you, but I’m thinking about not coming back at all. My contract ends in July.”

Teen Top has recently gained renewed popularity on MBC’s “What are you doing?” and is preparing for a new album with the goal of a comeback in July, raising expectations from fans for full-group activities. This upcoming album will be their first album in three years since the special album “To You 2020” was released in 2020.
