Super Junior member and actor Choi Siwon drew a line, stating that he is unrelated to the Youth Pay controversy.

On the 12th of February, Choi Siwon revealed on his YouTube channel community, “I have no connection to the controversy surrounding the Youth Pay Committee in Korea, and I have not been appointed as a promotional ambassador.” He emphasized, “I have only received commendations at an award ceremony organized by the Youth Pay Committee, but it is unrelated to the controversy.”

Recently, the “scam crypto coin” suspicion arose, alleging that a coin called “Mo Coin” issued by Company A illegally attracted investments. Among various other coins facing the same suspicion, the Youth Pay Coin issued by the Youth Pay Committee in Korea is one of them.

The Youth Pay Committee, which was launched with the aim of proposing youth policies to the government and the National Assembly, issued the Youth Pay Coin and listed it on overseas cryptocurrency exchanges as part of their payment system set to be implemented in March 2022. However, the Youth Pay Coin experienced a sharp decline shortly after listing and was subsequently delisted.
