Actor Park Bo Gum and singer Jeon Somi have been confirmed as hosts for the ‘2023 MAMA Awards’.
According to CJ ENM on the 2nd of November, Park Bo Gum and Jeon Somi have been confirmed as hosts for the ‘2023 MAMA Awards’, which will be held at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on the 28th and 29th of this month. CJ ENM explained, “‘The 2022 MAMA Awards’ was a year of rebranding that announced the evolution of ‘MAMA Awards’ as the world’s largest K-POP awards ceremony beyond Asia, so the role of the host as a messenger conveying the values pursued by ‘MAMA Awards’ shone brighter than ever before.”
CJ ENM introduced the concept of ‘ONE I BORN’ for the ‘2023 MAMA Awards’, which will encompass the entire awards ceremony. This concept represents the meeting of the one existence ‘I’ with ‘MAMA’ to become a perfect ‘One’ through positive energy, embodying a world with infinite possibilities. In particular, as ‘MAMA Awards’ has continuously pursued the true power of ‘Music Makes ONE’, the plan is to prove its value to the world with the two hosts.
Jeon Somi will be in charge of hosting Chapter 1 on the first day. Park Bo Gum will host Chapter 2 on the second day.
Meanwhile, the ‘2023 MAMA Awards’ will be held on the 28th and 29th of this month. It will be live-streamed worldwide through Mnet, YouTube channel ‘Mnet K-POP’, Mnet TV, KCON Official, and M2.
