MONSTA X‘s Jooheon will be stepping down as an MC from Mnet’s music program “M Countdown” after the broadcast on the 20th of July.
Jooheon, who was selected as an “M Countdown” MC in February, has been active for about 6 months. He formed a great duo with (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon, and their nickname “Honey Yeoni” received love from K-pop global fans for their stable hosting.
Joining as a music show MC in his 9th year since debut, Jooheon showcased his sense of humor and wit based on his rich experience and maturity. He quickly established himself as a renowned MC, displaying excellent synergy during interviews with both junior and senior artists.
With his final broadcast approaching, Jooheon expressed his gratitude, saying, “It’s been six months since I first greeted everyone as an ‘M Countdown’ MC. Every moment we spent together holds precious memories. I want to thank Monbebe and global K-pop fans who joined us every Thursday, the ‘M Countdown’ production staff, and Miyeon, who hosted with me. Thanks to all of you who supported and loved MC Jooheon, I can say goodbye happily. Please continue to support ‘M Countdown’ in the future.”
Meanwhile, Jooheon is scheduled to enlist in the military on the 24th.
