MONSTA X‘s Hyungwon is leaving “Inkigayo”!

Hyungwon, who will be stepping down as an MC of SBS’s “Inkigayo” after the broadcast on the 16th of July, had been hosting the show with actress Kim Ji Eun for about four months since April.

Hyungwon expressed his thoughts saying, “I am grateful to have been able to meet Monbebes (official fan club name) and viewers every Sunday as the MC of ‘Inkigayo.’ Although it was my first time hosting a music show, I was able to end it with happy memories thanks to the support and love I received. I would like to thank Kim Ji Eun, the ‘Inkigayo’ MC who worked hard with me every week, as well as the staff and everyone involved. Although I am saying my final goodbye as an MC, I will soon greet you again with Shownu as Shownu X Hyungwon unit activities. I ask for your love and support for both ‘Inkigayo’ and Shownu X Hyungwon.”

Hyungwon is currently preparing for his unit debut with Shownu through their first mini-album “The UNSEEN” on the 25th.
