One media outlet report has garnered a response from YG Entertainment.
On July 12, one media outlet reported that the possibility of Lisa leaving YG has increased. In addition, borrowing the words of a representative from a Chinese agency, he added, “We have been coordinating YG and Lisa’s schedules to see if they will appear on the show, but we have recently told them that it is difficult to discuss the schedule after August because it is unclear whether they will renew their contract with Lisa.” At the same time, he said that Rosé, Jisoo, and Jennie, excluding Lisa, planned to accompany them after renewing their contracts.
Regarding this, YG told media outlets, “It’s because of the tour and personal schedule, and it has nothing to do with the contract.” Regarding the renewal of the contract, he said, “We are currently discussing it.”
BLACKPINK, who debuted on August 8, 2016, will have their contracts expire very soon. As YG has yet to confirm or deny their renewals or departures, attention is focused on what the members will do and whether they’ll remain with the company or not.
