KQ Entertainment and MBC’s “Idol Radio” have released official apologies after behind-the-scenes footage featuring ATEEZ went viral and received backlash from international fans.

On July 8, “Idol Radio” released a behind-the-scenes video from the radio broadcast starring ATEEZ in which San and Yunho were shown singing Norazo’s controversial song “Curry.”

Following the release of the video, both KQ Entertainment and “Idol Radio” have released apologies to the fans who felt offended by the clip.

KQ Entertainment wrote this in English:

Hello, This is KQ Entertainment.
We would like to address the issues in regard to the online content of MBC R <IDOL RADIO> released yesterday afternoon, featuring ATEEZ.
The artist had no specific intent with their actions in the scene in question, but unknowingly hurt many of the fans. We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to the fans who have felt such discomfort and disappointment.
We will work diligently to establish a management system that better educates and prevents recurrence of such actions so that we do not cause any worries to our fans in the future. Thank you.

And MBC shared this statement:

Hello, this is <Idol Radio>.
In the recently released behind-the-scenes footage of <Idol Radio>, there was a scene that included the song “카레” (Curry). We apologize to viewers worldwide for any discomfort caused by the scene featuring the song.
Although there was no intention behind it, we feel a deep sense of responsibility for not thoroughly confirming the content during the review process. We will make sure to be more aware of such issues in the future to prevent any recurrence.
We will continue to strive for better content to repay the interest and support you show for <Idol Radio>.
