The KORAIL employee A, who accessed the personal information of BTS RM without permission, is reported to have been dismissed.
According to the E-Daily report on March 29th, KORAIL recently decided to dismiss employee A, who was handed over to the disciplinary committee for ‘violation of the duty to maintain dignity’. In this regard, KORAIL said, “It is difficult to confirm officially because it is the personal information of the employee.”
Mr. A is known to have read personal information such as ticket information, mobile phone number, and address of RM 18 times over the past three years from 2019 using the ‘ticket reservation and release standard information program’.
Mr. A boasted to others, “I checked the RM reservation history” and “My friend gave me the ticket information so that I could buy a seat nearby”.
During the audit process, Mr. A is known to have clarified, “As a fan of RM, I inquired out of personal curiosity.”
Regarding this, RM uploaded a related article on Instagram on the 2nd and wrote “^^;” he expressed his displeasure with emoticons.
Regarding this incident, Big Hit Music, the agency of BTS, said, “After confirming the details, we will take necessary measures to protect the artist.“
