The production team of ‘K-909’ has provided an explanation regarding the accident that occurred during filming for NMIXX stage, the incident terrified fans.
On the 10th of July, a post expressing anger about an accident that happened during the pre-recording of JTBC’s ‘K-909’ by NMIXX was shared on social media.
The netizen, who is believed to have participated in the pre-recording, stated, “NMIXX’s ‘K-909’ pre-recording was truly on another level. The stage caught fire, someone fell, and a drone grabbed the youngest member’s hair. It was a pre-recording filled with shock and terror. Instead of feeling moved after hearing the comeback songs in advance, the first instinct was to run away.”
Amid the controversy, the ‘K-909’ production team explained, “There was an issue with a set transition, and a pink mule, which was a stage prop, caught fire. After confirming the fire, we immediately evacuated the NMIXX members who were on stage and promptly extinguished the fire using a fire extinguisher, ensuring proper ventilation as well.”
Regarding the person who fell, they stated, “During filming, one audience member complained of feeling unwell and exited the venue with the staff. We advised the individual to go home, but they insisted on returning, claiming to be fine. The person sat down on a chair and watched the filming until the end. After confirming the condition of the remaining audience members, we resumed filming.”
They also addressed the incident involving the drone and Kyujin’s hair, stating, “When the drone got tangled in Kyujin’s hair, we immediately halted filming and checked his condition. After confirming that he was fine, we concluded the recording.”
Lastly, the ‘K-909’ team added, “There were no casualties, but we will make even greater efforts in accident management in the future.”
‘K-909’ is a global music show for K-pop artists, and NMIXX conducted the filming for ‘K-909’ on the 10th, just before the release of their third single album, ‘A Midsummer NMIXX’s Dream.’
