IVE’s Wonyoung perseverance through injuries has become a hot topic.
Director Son Seung Hee appeared as a guest on the MBC FM4U radio show ‘GOT7 Youngjae’s Close Friend,’ which aired earlier this week.
Director Son expressed his gratitude to Wonyoung, sharing the behind-the-scenes story of the IVE music video for ‘I AM.’ He said, “I haven’t officially mentioned this before. While Wonyoung was dancing, she injured her arm. She had to get seven stitches.”
He confessed that he was greatly surprised at the time and thought they wouldn’t be able to continue filming as there were two more segments left to shoot. However, Wonyoung went to the emergency room for two consecutive days, got the stitches, and then managed to give her all on set. Director Son praised her for not showing any signs of struggle during the difficult moments, saying, “It was impressive how she didn’t show any signs of hardship and meticulously monitored the performance.”
Director Son also mentioned that if Wonyoung hadn’t pushed through and performed after her injury, many things would have been lost.
