Miyeon, a member of the group (G)I-DLE, bid farewell as the host of Mnet’s “M Countdown.”
Miyeon was selected as the new face of Mnet’s music program “M Countdown” on February 18, 2021, along with actor Nam Yoon Soo, and has showcased excellent hosting skills.
In particular, her lively and energetic personality, as well as her unique reactions, have received praise as Miyeon’s strengths as an MC for music broadcasts, earning her a large following of global K-pop fans.
After approximately 2 years and 9 months as an MC for “M Countdown,” Miyeon has decided to step down from her position, with today’s (16th) broadcast being her last.
In gratitude to the fans who have supported and cheered her on for a long time, Miyeon plans to deliver a message of thanks and a special stage on her final episode.
Furthermore, through her agency Cube Entertainment, Miyeon expressed a sincere message, saying, “Thanks to ‘M Countdown,’ which I spent half of my debut period with, Thursdays, which used to be ordinary, became warm and happy. I am truly grateful for your love.”
Miyeon’s final hosting and goodbye stage can be seen on “M Countdown” at 6 PM on the 16th.
