Former member of the group T-ara, Areum, announced her divorce and remarriage after four years of marriage, revealing the face of her future husband.
On the 10th of December, Areum took to Instagram to share the happy news with fans and stated, “I have found someone I want to be with always. Someone who was so precious that I didn’t want to reveal them. We have decided to openly announce our love, which started like a beautiful aurora, after much consideration.” She introduced her future husband, saying, “This person is someone who showed me what happiness is when I was exhausted from many things, and maybe someone who suffered more than me. He is the only person who willingly ran to me when I was going through difficult times, even though he could have been harmed.”
She continued, “He filled the painful times of my dreams with hope and excitement, and he is the person who helps me realize all my dreams by enduring many things. He is a precious and grateful person.”
She added they’ll register their marriage soon, “We will register our marriage as soon as the lawsuit is over, and we have promised to get married. We haven’t divorced and have been legally separated for several years. There’s no need for a long explanation.”
Areum mentioned that she is currently in the process of a divorce lawsuit with her ex-husband. She stated, “I am still in the process of divorce. Even before I met the person I love, I have lived in so much pain. There are many things that cannot be specified or revealed, but as I have matured from my immature behavior and language, I am trying to forget them alone. Although they showed an immature attitude until the end, I believe that as long as I am proud, it’s enough.
I have already proposed a clean agreement to my ex-husband, but it is still being postponed. However, I will not give up and I am preparing for a new life. I hope that he can also start a new life quickly, and I am working hard for my own new life. I hope that neither of us will harm each other, and since our wounds are already too deep, I hope we can end it well. Please look at it beautifully.”
Lastly, Areum pleaded, “Legal precedents don’t matter. The future is important, so don’t worry. Those who leave malicious comments without knowing the whole story will face legal consequences.”
Areum married a non-celebrity in 2019 and gave birth to a son the following year. She also revealed her serious depression along with marital conflicts in the Tving original series ‘Between Marriage and Divorce’ last year.
