Former NMIXX Member Jini who is making her solo debut today has touched on her shocking departure from the group!
On the afternoon of the 11th of October, Jini’s first EP album ‘An Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove’ release and a solo debut showcase was held in Seoul. The event was hosted by broadcaster Park Seulgi.
Earlier, Jini suddenly left NMIXX due to ‘personal reasons’, which raised concerns from fans. Regarding this, Jini said, “It is difficult for me to explain the reason for my departure as it is a personal matter, but I want to emphasize that I am determined to work hard as a solo artist.”
Jini’s first EP album ‘An Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove’ is an album that expresses a strong inner self beneath a soft exterior, using the contrasting images of solidity and strength, represented by ‘Iron Hand’, and softness and beauty, represented by ‘Velvet Glove’.
This album consists of a total of 5 tracks, including the title track ‘C’mon’, and the inclusion of the song ‘Bad Reputation’ adds meaning as Jini’s first attempt at songwriting.
Meanwhile, Jini’s solo debut album ‘An Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove’ was released at 6 pm on the 11th.
